Today at the hospice I had a great day. During my time there I saw eight people who were individually special but all shared similar connections. Some of them were singers in their church choirs, one had sung with the symphony, all of them shared a christian faith, and all of them were terminally ill with cancer. The stories of the singer’s were very special to the other health care workers there, they loved how music had brought out other aspects of the person that the staff were unaware of. Not only had music enriched the lives of the people receiving care but the caregivers as well, because the caregivers had some more understanding of the people they care for and another avenue that they could encourage them in.

I love what I am so fortunate to do everyday.
